Relationship Management and organizing the orbits in your life through an app is the topic of this segment of The Business Spotlight, hosted by Patrick Dougher. Pat’s guest is Mike Muhney, former owner and founder of ACT! And current CEO of VIPorbit.
An example of how mistakes only makes you stronger, Mike Muhney and his partner in ACT!, both career salesmen, failed in their first attempt to grow their business. After brainstorming they came up with a different direction with tremendous success.
They sold ACT!, but it left Mike with a feeling of loss. Having sold his “baby” and his dream, and because it was such a tremendous success, everything became anti-climatic after that. This led him to start and develop VIPoribit, a fast growing software application.
VIPorbit is an Apple application for people (business and personal) to manage their customer and contact information, as well as their calendar. It allows you to sync your other Apple products, while providing backups to prevent loss of information. It allows relationship management by helping you track your interaction with clients, friends and family, and integrates a variety of social media tools, including Skype.
Throughout our life we have different things going on around us. Mike like to call them orbits. We have different orbits in our life for different relationships – family orbit, friends orbit, clients orbit, etc. Sometimes these orbits can get a little hard to manage, and often they overlap. That is what VIPorbit does.
The software logs everything you do – emailing, messaging, phone calls, scheduling, etc., allowing you to keep a detailed history of your interaction with the contacts in your database.
Another aspect, VIPlinks, can link your contacts between one another. This is useful when trying to contact someone in an organization who may not be available, so you are able to connect with someone else within that organization.
