According to Jeffrey, he enjoys Family Law because it is not the same every day – every family is different, every family has different needs, etc. It depends on which client contacts him as to who he deals with within the family.

Jeffrey has been pointed out in the Dallas area as a rising star in the legal sector. His method of practicing family law is not to go into court and battle it out when it comes to divorce or child custody, but to sit down and discuss how they can all work together to benefit everyone.

He still advocates for his client, and still represents them in the process to achieve their personal goals, but he still helps to educate his client through the process, helps them go through the process, and to understand what the other side is feeling and going through as well. Especially when children are involved, a divorce does not have to be parents fighting for custody of their children against each other, but working together to benefit the children and help them get through it as well.

The client ultimately makes the decision, but the lawyers job is to help them to look at all aspects of the situation, especially what is best for the children. With mediation and settlement, you don’t always have to go by the state guidelines. Everything is not black and white, there is always a gray area, so even the court has to adopt a schedule that will work best for everyone.
